responsibilities
* provide risk strategic analytics and information management across citi/citibank products and report to senior management. Communicate to executive management the implications of existing and proposed regulation and develop potential responses (e.g., basel ii/iii, mifid, u.s. Fed, treasury, fdic, and other central banks/regulators).
* regulatory risk project management ownership (business requirements, analysis, and testing) for the delivery of regulatory solutions (e.g., cecl, part 30 core capabilities initiatives, stress testing, ccar).
* analyze new risk-related guidelines, best practices, rules, and regulations.
* direct the approach to answering questions and involve appropriate risk functions in citi with audits and regulators.
* manage projects for portfolio risk review and rationalization of end user computing (eucs) used for portfolio risk reviews.
* interact with a wide range of senior bank and risk management colleagues, as well as external regulators/auditors.
* initiate feedback sessions with clients to identify strengths and focus areas; leverage feedback to influence change across the organization.
* identify and sponsor development opportunities for key individuals, influence organizational initiatives to develop talent, and ensure a diverse talent pipeline at all levels.
* assess risk in business decisions, safeguard citigroup, and ensure compliance with laws and regulations; escalate and manage control issues and supervise others to uphold standards.
qualifications
* 10+ years of relevant experience.
* excellent proficiency in microsoft office (excel for metrics/data analysis, powerpoint for decks, word for documentation).
* broad understanding of classifyable and delinquency managed credit and operational policies, including collateral management.
* thorough knowledge of financial and risk reporting; experience in business and/or technical areas.
* familiarity with regulatory landscape facing global banks; prior banking or regulator experience preferred.
* experience managing regulatory inspections and audits in financial services.
* professional ability to interact with senior bank, regulatory, and audit management.
* project management experience with diverse stakeholders to meet milestones and deadlines.
* strong relationship management skills across the business, executive leadership, and support areas (government affairs, legal, compliance, control, risk).
* ability to develop project plans and drive multiple stakeholders to milestones; manage multiple large-scale projects end-to-end.
* licensing/registration: series 4, 7, 9, 10, 24, 63, 65.
education
* bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred.

model validation activities
* during model validation, model validators verify that the model performs as designed and document validation steps and conclusions in the model validation report (mvr).
* effective challenge includes evaluating the quality and coverage of the model development process, including conceptual soundness, data quality, model specification, numerical techniques, backtesting, monitoring, and governance.
* review data governance information, model data templates, data quality controls, and data sources relevant to the model’s impact.
* assess risk rating, criticality of use, exposure tier, and provide guidance on limitations and remediation actions.
* review ongoing monitoring reports, annual model review (amr), and model change controls.
* collaborate with model developers and model sponsors as part of ongoing interaction and governance.
