Automotive content translator
this role involves translating a wide range of content related to the automotive industry, including product information, fitment notes and promotional materials. You will work closely with various teams across the organization to ensure that all translated content meets the required standards.
key responsibilities:
- translate automotive content for z-net and the company's websites
- research new sources of translation aids, such as vendor and manufacturer's websites, glossaries and dictionaries
- conduct informal surveys with az stores personnel about terminology
- translate documents as requested, including data entry instructions, commercial materials and e-commerce webpages
- maintain and improve the translation memories and the az multilingual dictionary
requirements:
- associate's degree or equivalent formal training program in foreign languages
- two to three years of experience as a translator, editor or language teacher
- special certifications or technical skills, including toefl (english-spanish) and cat tools (trados)
- excellent communication skills and knowledge of graphical computer software, such as photoshop
the ideal candidate should be able to perform simultaneous translation and have great knowledge in automotive terminology.
