primary purpose of the position:
act as internal payroll specialist and maintain contact with external payroll provider. Own and responsible for all payroll processing and reporting requirements, both weekly and bi-weekly payrolls. Ensure all payroll compliance are understood and delivered.
essential responsible areas:
* own the payroll process locations and ensure all payroll and employee related reporting are carried out timely and accurately.
* responsible for coordination efforts between payroll service provider, human resources, pensions and other departments to ensure proper flow and maintenance of employee data.
* review the accuracy of payroll reports produced by adp or other relevant provider, ensuring all necessary changes have been accurately captured such as new hires, terminations, allowances, bonus, deductions, bonus, pensions etc.
* communicate any errors / issues with adp or other relevant customers and ensure that they are corrected prior to payment.
* ensure long term incentive plan and short term bonus payments are carried out on time and delivered accurately.
* responsible to have payroll approved and paid on time and ensure that the contributions to pensions are made within the timeline stipulated.
* provide support and manage expat payroll related queries with hr and external advisors when needed.
* provide the required expatriate paystubs and any other payroll information on a monthly and ad hoc basis.
* actively contribute to ensuring north america operates an adequate system of internal controls, complies with legal accounting and ball financial policies with regards to payroll.
* complete all payroll related reporting such as payroll year end and annual requirements.
* to facilitate both internal and external audits for payroll reviews.
professional & education qualification
* broad training in a related field usually acquired through high school or work-related experience in payroll. Degree preferred.
* job related experience for 5 year(s) minimum in multi-state payroll processing.
* certified payroll professional (cpp) preferred.
* union payroll processing experience preferred.
* adp (required) and sap (preferred) payroll system experience within the last 5 years

* ability to prioritize, organize and coordinate simultaneous tasks and/or projects and work with minimum supervision.
* positive, proactive individual with excellent problem solving and analysis skills.
* ability to manage multiple, complex tasks with limited direction and within limited time schedules.
* ability to work closely and effectively with others, including the corporate business research information center, our various sales and marketing teams, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing personnel, customers and suppliers and various industry trade representatives.
