we are looking for talented freelance video editors who are passionate about storytelling, eager to learn, and committed to delivering client satisfaction above all else.
this is a freelance, remote (work from home) position with flexible, project-based assignments.
responsibilities:
editing & workflow
* edit cinematic-style wedding films, including highlight reels, full ceremony cuts, and social media teasers, based on client requirements and wanderlust standards.
* download, organize, and review all provided footage.
* understand project settings and carefully study client reference videos.
* craft emotional, narrative-driven edits that highlight each couple's story, using pacing, music, and visuals to create cinematic wedding films.
* deliver the first version of each project to quality assurance (qa) and clients within the agreed timeline.
* complete all requested revisions from qa or clients promptly and accurately.
* deliver final project and upload all project files according to deadlines.
quality assurance & collaboration
* ensure high creative and technical standards are maintained across all projects.
* communicate clearly and consistently with project management (pm) and qa teams, keeping progress transparent and ensuring deadlines are met.
* actively apply feedback, suggestions, and training from the wanderlust team to improve skills and workflow.
* participate in occasional team calls as needed.
* collaborate closely with pm and qa teams to optimize project execution and turnaround times.
requirements:
* minimum of 1 year of professional video editing experience.
* advanced proficiency in
final cut pro,
or
adobe premiere pro,
or
davinci resolve
, including multi-cam workflows, color correction, and audio syncing.
* strong
attention to storytelling
with the ability to transform raw footage into films that feel personal, emotional, and cinematic.
* good english skills (written and spoken)
to ensure accurate implementation of feedback.
* strong communication and time management skills with the ability to listen to feedback, implement changes accurately, and deliver projects on schedule.
* stable internet connection capable of handling large file transfers, or ability to work with proxy files as instructed.
* collaborative,
team-oriented mindset.
* portfolio of wedding or event films is a strong plus, but not mandatory.
* willingness to learn, adapt, and place client satisfaction above everything else, viewing feedback not as criticism but as guidance to better match each client's unique style.
