we are looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals to join our team as reliability maintenance engineering area managers. The area manager is responsible for leading a team of technicians, focusing on safety through training, development, and coaching. They ensure high equipment availability by conducting preventative maintenance and adhering to internal processes and procedures.

key responsibilities
* lead, support, and mentor the team, ensuring safety, standards, and efficiency.
* collaborate with the team and network to leverage technical expertise and develop solutions.
* support safety and compliance programs in partnership with site safety and leadership teams.
* implement network standards and focus on preventative maintenance for equipment availability.
* organize training for technical coverage during shifts.
* manage local projects or support broader initiatives as assigned.
* be available to work on shifts to stay connected with the team and daily operations.

basic qualifications
* bachelor’s degree.
* 5+ years of practical engineering experience, including supervisory roles.
* multi-skilled in electrical and mechanical disciplines.
* experience with automated equipment like packaging machinery, sortation, and conveyor systems.
* knowledge of health & safety standards and regulations.
* strong computer skills (ms office, cad).
* fluent in english and spanish (b2+).
preferred qualifications
* knowledge of specialized engineering and facilities equipment within amazon’s fulfillment centers.
* experience with plc control systems.
* project management experience.
* familiarity with cmms programs.
* experience with kaizen and continuous improvement processes.
