we are seeking a highly motivated
regulatory compliance specialist
to join our global market access – knowledge services team (gma ks). In this role, you will support global manufacturers by helping them navigate complex regulatory landscapes, with a focus on
wireless, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence
requirements.
this is a
hybrid
position, based in mexico city, requiring three days per week on‑site. You will collaborate closely with global ul partners, regulatory authorities, and internal stakeholders to deliver accurate regulatory intelligence and customized compliance solutions.
responsibilities
* conduct comprehensive research on global regulatory requirements across multiple countries, product types, and technologies.
* prepare clear and accurate research reports and executive summaries for customers and internal teams.
* monitor global regulatory changes and maintain documentation within the regulatory database.
* act as a point of contact, under supervision, for regulatory authorities and ul regional partners to gather and validate compliance requirements.
* support analysis of regulatory updates, identifying impacts and communicating them to customers and ul stakeholders.
* assist in identifying new business opportunities in collaboration with authorities, subcontractors, and internal ul teams.
* contribute to the creation or improvement of service delivery pathways for knowledge services.
* provide point‑of‑access support to address local acceptance questions and escalate issues as needed.
* coordinate research projects involving multiple product categories, geographies, or regulations.
* potentially act as owner for specific regulatory domains or geographic areas under guidance.
* collaborate with industry stakeholders and colleagues to support the development of gma knowledge services and customized solutions.
* track business opportunities and contribute to gma expansion initiatives.
* support and potentially supervise day‑to‑day delivery of high‑quality knowledge services under guidance.
qualifications
must‑have
* high school diploma or equivalent.
* minimum 2 years of experience in regulatory compliance, research, product compliance, tic, or related fields.
* strong analytical and research skills with attention to detail.
* ability to interpret regulatory requirements and summarize complex information clearly.
* good written and verbal communication skills in english.
* ability to work in a hybrid schedule (3 days/week in the mexico city office).
nice‑to‑have
* bachelor's degree in engineering, international relations, or a related specialization.
* knowledge of the testing, inspection & certification (tic) industry.
* experience or foundational understanding of cybersecurity and/or artificial intelligence standards, regulations, or risk assessment.
* familiarity with global regulatory frameworks (safety, emc, wireless, cybersecurity).
* experience supporting customers or regulatory authorities in compliance‑related contexts.
* previous interaction with ul or similar global compliance organizations.
