qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in international trade or similar
* 8+ years of experience
* bilingual in spanish/english, very fluent
* strong understanding of mx customs regulations, international trade laws, and import/export processes
* team management experience
* experience coordinating with customs brokers and service providers
* strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* organizational and time management skills
* committed and energetic; adaptable to organizational needs
* on-site position at any of the ford of mexico plants
* passport required

responsibilities
this is a senior role involving the implementation of customs processes, supervising daily staff activities, ensuring tasks are completed on time and accurately, and maintaining compliance with customs and trade regulations.
due to the responsibilities of the role, we are seeking candidates who have:
* experience in customs system rollouts and/or maintenance
* prior involvement in testing customs software solutions and business requirements
* experience developing data analytics tools to identify process improvements within large and complex customs datasets
* supported the development of customs metrics based on proper data sources
* project management experience
