key responsibilities
 * plan, organize, control, and direct the work of employees in the kitchen department to ensure superior quality and consistency of food preparation.
 * select, train, evaluate, lead, motivate, coach, and discipline all employees in the kitchen’s food production area to meet cultural and core standards.
 * assist in the planning and development of recipes, ensuring correct preparation and presentation of a consistent level for all food items.
 * control labor and operating expenses through effective scheduling, budgeting, purchasing decisions, and inventory control.
 * ensure sanitation standards are in compliance with four seasons, local, state, and federal regulations, and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen.
 * communicate with employees and managers to ensure operational needs are met and attend regular operational meetings for coordination and cooperation between departments.
knowledge and skills
 * at least 2–3 years of relevant work experience in a luxury hotel.
 * self‑driven and a strategic resourcing professional.
 * able to work independently and under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
 * good team spirit, multi‑tasking, cooperative with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
 * good command of both written and spoken spanish and english.
 * requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems.
 * great organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize workload.
