are you detail-oriented, organized, and experienced in the world of healthcare insurance? We’re hiring a *remote insurance verification specialist* to support our u.s.based medical offices by confirming patient benefits and verifying insurance coverage before treatment.

If you have experience with emr systems, enjoy solving problems, and thrive in a structured remote environment, this might be the perfect fit. _(huge plus if you’ve worked in medical billing, patient access, or prior authorizations!)_

*what you’ll do*:

- verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits through online portals or direct calls to payers.
- confirm coverage for specific procedures, services, and treatments based on provider requests.
- accurately document copays, deductibles, coinsurance, and any authorization requirements.
- obtain and track prior authorizations or referrals when needed.
- update patient records in the emr system with verified insurance data.
- communicate with patients regarding their coverage, financial obligations, and answer insurance-related questions.
- collaborate with clinical, billing, and administrative teams to ensure timely and accurate patient care.
- identify and resolve any inconsistencies in insurance information before the date of service.

*what we’re looking for*:

- must live in *tijuana, baja california*:

- *advanced english fluency (c2)* — both written and spoken
- *1+ year of experience* in insurance verification, medical billing, or a healthcare-related call center
- comfortable working with emr/ehr systems and insurance portals
- knowledge of u.s. insurance plans (hmo, ppo, medicare, medicaid) and medical terminology
- familiar with *hipaa compliance* and patient privacy regulations
- detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- clear communicator with a patient-first attitude
