* design and document electronics circuits for aerospace and defense display products - define hardware architectures, design and develop electronic circuits and pcb layouts, document appropriate design verification and validation tests procedures and perform design verification activities
* perform calculations including thermal analysis of circuits, power, impedance, de-rating, mean-time between failures, detailed, component level fmea
* generate or modify vhdl code for custom functionality of fpga
* generate or modify c code for embedded microcontroller-based circuits
* provide technical solutions for the selection of electronic components for new and existing products
* design and document electronic test environment for display products
* work with suppliers and provide technical guidance to manufacture circuit assemblies
* identify and resolve hardware issues with component obsolescence and manufacturability of display products components
* build prototype parts, cables, and test fixtures
* create technical documentation and users manuals
* assign part numbers for drawings, documents and generate bill of materials (boms)
* prepare, incorporate and process engineering change orders (ecos)
* support and troubleshoot complex electronic failure
* carry out analyses, validations/verifications test and follow-up of prototypes
* work in collaboration with a team of multidisciplinary professionals
experiência y requisitos
* bachelor's degree in electrical engineering
* minimum of ten (10) years of experience
* design of analog/digital circuits, power supply, microcontrollers, debugging tools and lcd displays (characters/graphics, monochrome/color)
* experience in analyzing safety and reliability requirements
* ability to use basic electronic test equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, oscilloscopes, function generators
* high speed video processing
* fpga (vhdl), “c” programming language
* familiar with the development of operating systems and embedded software, rtos - c/c++ programming language; python is a plus
* experience with electromagnetic interference
* ability to solder and use prototyping tools
* experience with mentor pads schematic and layout software a plus
* ipc standards
* background of military & aerospace standards - rtca/do-160, mil-tsd-810, mil-std-461
* effective written/verbal communication skills
* demonstrate ability to work in a team

job description
in this sr. Supplier quality engineer role, the collaborator will execute supplier quality core processes according with automotive standards and customer specific requirements. As a senior level will be asked to support management to improve processes and maintain quality metrics and define new metrics as needed.
the sr. Supplier quality engineer will need to have strong background on project management, problem solving methodology, teamwork and a very solid continuous improvement mindset as this position requires very close collaboration with our supplier base to initiate improvement projects toward reducing quality incidents due to components at both internal and end customer.
for this position it is required to have clear knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes and testing.
activities/ experience:
* be part of the supplier selection process by establishing supplier quality agreement and confirm manufacturing best practices and continuous improvement mindset through a process control audit
* lead supplier engineering activities to complete supplier ppap for new components into new programs for automotive products
* revision and validation of process change notifications (pcn) from our supplier base to assure changes made by suppliers will not have any impact from a quality/cost perspective
* support customer quality eng. team to escalate quality cases with our suppliers to assure adequate response time and quality of the 8d
* clear understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes is needed for both wafer fab and test & assembly
* definition of strategic projects to reduce automotive quality ppm by identifying key supplier
* understanding automotive standards iatf16949, iso 9001
* statistical tools for problem resolution (8d, pdca, dmaic, doe) and apqp tools (msa, pcp, pfmea, ppap)
* 5 to 10 years in automotive business environment as a supplier quality engineer
* experience in electrical commodities
* willing to travel to north america and asia
