how will you contribute to our magical experience?
the publicity assistant will support the communication needs of the franchises, disney consumer products (dcp), and live events areas, working closely with the area coordinator.
the role also includes providing administrative support to the corp comms & publicity team.
the publicity assistant will be responsible for:
team and internal coordination:
support the mkt teams of dcp, franchises, and live events, and collaborate with regional teams.
collaborate with other communication and marketing areas to amplify campaign impact.
participate in braintrusts and briefs for events and campaigns.
create powerpoint presentations for franchises, live events, and dcp teams.
update and maintain databases.
press and media management:
enhance differentiated actions and increase exposure in press, media, and non-cash influencer networks.
coordinate with pr agencies to implement tailored communication strategies.
oversee the preparation, approval, and distribution of press releases across business lines.
pitch press releases to media outlets.
nominate outlets for interviews and events.
monitor and capitalize on press opportunities.
support press activities across business lines.
coordinate and dispatch press and influencer kits.
organize and track pr agency efforts.
prepare press reports to showcase campaign results.
administrative and logistical support:
provide support in booking flights and tracking travel logistics for journalists.
request and manage purchase orders for suppliers.
create non-pos for internal payments.
generate and follow up on annual vendor contracts.
what we need from you to be part of this story:
bachelor's degree in communication, public relations, corporate communications or related field.
experience in public relations, media, or related fields.
writing and grammar skills, communication abilities, and negotiation capacity.
microsoft office proficiency.
knowledge of traditional and online media, influencers, social media; interest and knowledge in general entertainment (films, series, tv shows, concerts, shows, music) and experience with consumer products.
advanced level of english.
availability to travel.
