description
this position provides strategic and operational direction to assigned customer base to maximize sales revenues. This role is responsible for revenue generation through the development of sales goals including sales volume, cost of sale and product profitability. It establishes effective communications with appropriate executives and managers to ensure proper sensitivity to sales needs.
accountabilities
* manages customer relationships by actively creating solutions to best meet their business needs
* establishes strategy for markets for which they are responsible; develops account strategies and plan
* supervises the correct business practice with transload terminals.
* ensures that total contribution is maximized in each of the projects to implement marketing strategies established by the marketing department.
* maintains direct channel of communication with other cpkc departments to ensure marketing and sales plans for conversion projects and goals are aligned with other departments.
* controls expenses to meet budget guidelines.
* adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
* exemplifies cpkc vision, values, and culture interactions with coworkers, business partners, customers and stakeholders.
ideal candidate qualifications
* bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, preferably in a job related major field of study
* minimum seven (7) years of relevant professional experience, including specialized knowledge of a discipline utilized to lead an area of our business, or equivalent combination of education and experience
working conditions
* this position has a regular full time schedule with a normal work week of monday through friday. There may be a need for occasional work after hours or weekends.
* this position may require minimal travel up to 30% of the time.
