Our company meadow is rebuilding end‑of‑life care from scratch. In under two years we have become the largest independent cremation provider in california, expanded to eight markets across four states, and served thousands of families with 5‑star reviews and an nps of 80. We are backed by top investors and the team behind moxie, the medspa platform now at national scale. Deathcare is a \$20b market that has not meaningfully changed in 70 years. We are building a modern alternative with transparent pricing, 24/7 hospitality, and software that handles operational complexity so humans can focus on care. Role: software engineer we are looking for a mid‑to‑senior‑level ic full‑stack software engineer to keep our production systems healthy and move our internal tooling forward. You own features end‑to‑end, make architectural calls within a feature, and ship without a tech lead over your shoulder. 80% of your work will be on the tools our operations, sales, and care teams use every day to serve families; the rest touches the family‑facing surfaces where those experiences land. You will be part of a small senior team that includes our head of engineering and two other engineers. Your code reaches production quickly, and the problems you solve are felt directly by the people using the software the next day. We work out of a single monorepo: fastapi services in python, next.js/react apps in typescript, inngest for event‑driven workflows and pub/sub, and postgres as our primary datastore. Responsibilities ship full‑stack features end‑to‑end across internal tooling and family‑facing surfaces, inngest workflows, fastapi pydantic endpoints, and the react uis that sit on top of them. Triage production issues across our python backends and typescript frontends, drive incidents to root cause, and leave the system better than you found it. Continuously improve the experience for our internal users (operations, sales, and service teams) who rely on these tools every day and expand the tool set available to them as the business grows. Qualifications 3–7 years shipping production software, with real day‑job experience in both python and typescript. Comfortable working across the stack; you should be willing to own a feature from database to ui. Experience with event‑driven or job‑queue systems (inngest, celery, sqs, temporal, etc.) or a clear appetite to learn ours quickly. Early‑stage startup experience, with an awareness of ambiguity, shifting priorities, and ownership of outcomes rather than tickets. Remote work; based in latin america with core hours 12 pm–8 pm et (noon–8 pm colombia, 1 pm–9 pm argentina, 11 am–7 pm mexico city). The working language is english, including daily syncs.
