about the role
this is a challenging opportunity for an experienced category manager to lead the development and implementation of indirect category strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing sourcing initiatives across various categories.
* main responsibilities:
* develop and implement indirect category strategies to achieve business objectives
* define sourcing strategies in alignment with company policies
* execute supplier management strategies by monitoring kpis, terms, and conditions
* maintain knowledge of industry trends and market cost reduction opportunities
* cultivate and manage supplier relationships to optimize business value
* develop and deliver category reporting to senior leadership
* contribute to team efforts and participate in projects as needed
requirements
to succeed in this role, you will need:
* a bachelor's degree in a relevant field
* at least 5 years of experience in indirect sourcing with a focus on assigned categories
* proficiency in microsoft excel and ability to work in a matrix environment
* excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with c-suite executives
