purpose of the role
in this role, you'll independently develop and lead piping design for offshore projects across basic and detailed engineering. core responsibilities
- develop high‐quality piping designs for offshore projects across basic and detailed engineering.
- produce and validate piping deliverables: isometrics, plans/sections, support designs, and material take‐offs (mto/bom).
- extract and manage information from the 3d model to create complete, consistent final documentation and seek requested internal approvals.
- apply and enforce discipline standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications; support checking and peer reviews.
- recommend design improvements and resolve issues that emerge during project execution.
- coordinate closely with project management, discipline leadership and engineering peers to maintain alignment and progress reporting.
- provide day‐to‐day guidance to junior designers, ensuring quality, consistency, and clear communication within the team.
- promote safe, optimal and sustainable design practices throughout the engineering lifecycle.
skills & experience

- strong track record in piping design for offshore facilities, including:
- isometric extraction and plan/section generation
- piping supports design and mto extraction
- advanced p&id interpretation
- solid understanding of applicable regulations, codes, manufacturing standards, and industry best practices in the offshore sector.
- proficiency with 3d design systems: aveva e3d (piping, equipment, draw, supports) and/or smartplant 3d (piping, equipment, draw, supports).
- strong command of microsoft office tools.
- demonstrated ability to mentor junior designers and communicate effectively across disciplines.
- intellectual curiosity and problem‐solving mindset; comfortable working with complexity and interdependencies.
- organizational discipline with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and on‐time delivery.
