responsible for leading and coordinating the planning team ensuring efficiency and optimization of processes
our team
it has the authority to make decisions about the planning of production orders and material handling on the floor. Their focus is to achieve customer satisfaction by complying with mpd (molex promise date) and crd (customer request date) through the efficient use of production lines
what you will do
* create and track the execution of documented processes to review demand (forecast and firm demand) and sign production orders according to capacity and material availability in the sap system
* coordinate the development of detailed production schedules according to the required volumes, plant capacity and availability of materials, controlling the actual production figures and preparing adjustments to the schedules when necessary, seeking to optimize shipping costs to meet customer demands on time and at the lowest possible cost. It is also aligned with the guidelines set by the corporate (gsop)
* direct, motivate and guide a team of planners, assigning tasks, delegating responsibilities and providing feedback to ensure the fulfillment of objectives
* ensure the availability of materials, equipment and personnel necessary for the execution of production plans, using sap functionalities
* monitor production progress, identify deviations, and take corrective actions to ensure deadlines and targets are met
* use sap/rapid response tools to analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and propose actions to optimize processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency
* monitor that there are no cogi's or negatives (errors in the system) running reports to avoid inventory discrepancies
* coordinate the maintenance of in-process inventory (psa) to avoid having unused or excess materials in production
* maintain constant contact with customer service, through different channels, for shipments and cancellations
* create documented processes for tracking and securing components on production lines to avoid late customer end product lines and/or line stoppages in production
* coordinate the performance of capacity vs. demand analysis, as well as balancing of production lines
* understand, support and contribute to compliance with the pbm philosophy, the different quality management standards in which the company is certified, in safety and hygiene, in environmental management systems, six sigma, rba (responsible business alliance) and ctpat/oas following the established policies and procedure
* perform other related functions that are assigned by the management
who you are
* bachelor’s degree in a related field
* minimum experience of 4 years as a planning supervisor
* advanced english
* sap management
* ability to organize and prioritize
* effective communication
