Responsibilities
-lead and develop a team of ap staff, driving a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement.
-manage the full ap cycle: vendor invoice processing, intercompany billing, payment execution, and intercompany matching with international counterparties.
-own the month-end close process for accounts payable, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations provided to corporate accounting.
-maintain and improve ap metrics; provide meaningful disbursement statistics and aging analysis.
-ensure all ap processes conform to internal controls, corporate policy, and sarbanes-oxley (sox) requirements.
-partner with treasury on payment execution, bank edi, and payee data integrity.
-collaborate with procurement on payment terms optimization, vendor consolidation, and synergy identification.
-support internal and external audits in coordination with the gl team.
-review and approve urgent non-standard payment requests based on business criticality and vendor relationship impact.
-track and update critical vendor accruals on a monthly basis.
-drive process improvement and system optimization initiatives, including active participation in the sap s/4hana implementation and migration.
-prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for senior finance leadership.
qualifications
-bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field.
-5+ years of experience in ap leadership or management roles.
-sap s/4hana experience or implementation exposure is a strong differentiator. Sap experience required.
-solid understanding of sox compliance, internal controls, and ap best practices.
-experience with intercompany matching and consolidation processes.
-advanced proficiency in microsoft excel and the microsoft office suite.
-strong written and verbal communication skills in both english and spanish (required).
-proven ability to manage cross-border relationships and navigate time zone differences.
-self-directed and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.

-knowledge of regional tax regulations and withholding requirements across multiple countries.

-strong knowledge of ap processes in global manufacturing environments.
