We’re hiring a payroll associate to manage employee attendance, leave administration, and support payroll processing. This role verifies time data, resolves discrepancies, prepares reports for audits and management, and ensures compliance with company policy and applicable leave/pay regulations.
what you’ll do
* maintain and update daily/weekly/monthly attendance and timekeeping records in the hr/payroll system.
* administer leaves of absence (e.g., fmla, medical, pto), ensuring required documentation and compliance with policy and law.
* review and validate manager-submitted timecards and time-off requests; follow up on missing or inconsistent information.
* support payroll runs by resolving attendance-related discrepancies and responding to payroll inquiries.
* produce regular and ad‑hoc attendance/time‑off reports for hr, payroll, and management; assist with audits.
* advise employees and managers on timekeeping, leave eligibility, balances, and payroll implications.
* contribute to process improvements, system testing/configuration, and user training.
* maintain confidentiality of payroll and leave records.
qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance, hr, or equivalent.
* 3+ years experience in payroll, timekeeping, or hr administration.
* intermediate‑advanced english.
* experience administering leaves of absence and using timekeeping/payroll systems.
* strong attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to meet payroll deadlines.
* excellent communication and interpersonal skills; customer‑service oriented.
* proficiency with payroll/timekeeping systems (e.g., adp, workday, ukg, paycom) and advanced excel skills (vlookup, pivot tables).
preferred
* certified payroll professional (cpp) or equivalent a plus.
* prior experience with federal/state leave regulations (e.g., fmla).
