The senior, product engineer position requires well developed and demonstrated qualification in mechanical design engineering. This position will also provide engineering support related to the analysis of cost reductions, customer returns, material substitutions, engineering changes and deviations.
*in this role, your responsibilities will be*:
- *cost reduction*:provide engineering support to improve or modify existing designs, aiming to reduce costs and bring valuable contributions, while meeting financial objectives and engineering timelines.
- *product extensions*:design and develop product modifications and improvements for existing products within established guidelines. Perform detailed analysis for stress and flow prediction using finite element analysis (fea), computational fluid dynamics (cfd) and other engineering analysis tools as required.
- *engineering change notices*:coordinate with diverse teams to effectively implement designs into global operations. Thorough implementation is critical and requires careful planning when updating bill of materials, drawings, marketing communications, engineering/manufacturing procedures, inventory transition, 3rd party approvals, etc.

- minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- high mechanical aptitude
- proficiency with microsoft office suite
- working knowledge of gd&t
- familiar with asme boiler and pressure vessel codes
- familiar with ped/en334/en14382
- experience with amesim tool
- experience with ansys fea analysis tools
