the security manager will be responsible for implementing and overseeing security operationsfor the mexicali, mx site, ensuring a safe and secure environment for employees, assets, and business operations. The role involves risk assessment, regulatory compliance, executive protection, investigations, emergency response, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration. The security manager will report to the global security director and work closely with site leadership, hr, legal, ehs, and government agencies.
*responsibilities*
- develop, enforce, and continuously improve security strategies to protect employees, facilities, and company assets.
- conduct risk assessments, identify threats, and implement mitigation measures to reduce security vulnerabilities across all three sites.
- manage 24/7 security operations, ensuring effective deployment of security personnel and technology.
- oversee and maintain cctv, access control, perimeter security, and alarm systems to prevent unauthorized access or incidents.
- supervise third-party security vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies, performance benchmarks, and contract requirements.
- ensure the operational readiness and maintenance of all security infrastructure and recommend technology upgrades to enhance site security.
- support liaison efforts with law enforcement, government agencies (pnp, nbi, customs, ahj), and regulatory bodies to assist with security initiatives and compliance requirements.
- ensure compliance with c-tpat and global supply chain security standards, conducting internal audits, customer security walkthroughs, and risk mitigation planning.
- lead and coordinate security investigations related to theft, fraud, workplace violence, and operational breaches, collaborating with hr and legal as necessary.
- develop, implement, and test emergency response protocols for incidents such as fire, natural disasters, active shooter situations, and civil unrest.
- conduct security drills and training programs to ensure crisis preparedness across all sites.
- act as the point of contact for emergency coordination and escalation.
- oversee executive protection programs for senior leaders and high-risk personnel as required, ensuring proper security planning and travel risk assessments.
- support security awareness initiatives and training programs for employees and security personnel to strengthen internal security culture and vigilance.
- provide on-call emergency response support and travel between sites as needed to coordinate security operations effectively.
*qualifications & skills*
- bachelor’s degree in security management, criminology, law enforcement, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in corporate security, law enforcement, military, or a similar field.
- strong expertise in risk management, security investigations, executive protection, and emergency response planning.
- experience in c-tpat compliance, security audits, and customer security support is highly preferred.
- proven ability to liaise with law enforcement, government agencies, and regulatory bodies.
- strong knowledge of security technology solutions, including cctv, access control, and alarm systems.
- ability to travel between laguna, cavite, and eastwood sites and provide on-call emergency response support.
*work environment*
- office-based role with frequent on-site security inspections.
- cross-site travel required (laguna, cavite, eastwood).
- expected to be on-call 24/7 for emergencies, crisis response, and executive protection support.
- regular coordination with senior management, local law enforcement, and government agencies.
