we are seeking a candidate to join our team as the regional risk & controls director.
this role involves managing multiple priorities and engaging with various stakeholders across the group.
the candidate will focus on enhancing control processes and ensuring compliance within the organization.
objectives of the risk & control function include: reinforcing a culture of ethics and integrity at all levels;building relationships to identify risks, anticipate issues, and propose solutions;supporting management in establishing compliant, risk-aware, and adaptable relationships with clients and partners;embracing technology and innovation to optimize risk and control activities and improve compliance;providing reliable information on control performance impacting strategic objectives.key duties and responsibilities: promote and embed a culture of ethics and integrity through training and advisory on topics such as anti-bribery, corruption, sox, and internal policies; serve as a subject matter expert.engage with internal and external stakeholders.set regional standards aligned with global instructions, reinforce policies, and communicate updates clearly.focus on risk areas within the remit based on assessments agreed with stakeholders.review operational processes and suggest improvements.ensure new acquisitions meet compliance standards timely.lead recruitment, training, and development of the regional risk & control team.coordinate audit activities with internal and external teams.monitor remediation efforts and report progress to leadership.identify opportunities for continuous improvement and adapt to evolving challenges.support and promote the adoption of compliance tools and processes.oversee completion of risk & controls activities.experience and skills: aca/ca/acca qualified with over 10 years of post-qualification experience in ethics, compliance, risk management, or internal audit within a multinational.structured approach to managing multiple demands in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.effective stakeholder management, including senior management.excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.strong analytical skills and attention to detail.experience in media and advertising is a plus.
