what will you do?
* collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to understand material specifications and requirements, ensuring all purchases meet company standards.
* monitor inventory levels and coordinate with logistics to ensure a continuous flow of materials, preventing production disruptions.
* establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring clear and open communication.
* implement purchasing strategies that optimize costs and improve delivery timelines.
* release purchase orders based on mrp signals and inventory requirements.
* monitor and track open orders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
* coordinate with suppliers to confirm delivery dates and resolve delays.
* maintain accurate system data, including lead times, order quantities, and delivery dates.
* follow up on critical shortages and escalate issues that may impact production.
* review and adjust planning parameters (e.g., safety stock, reorder points) to align with demand fluctuations.
* collaborate with warehouse and receiving teams to ensure smooth inbound material flow.
* support production scheduling by ensuring material availability for planned builds.
* participate in daily operations meetings to provide updates on material status and risk.
what are we looking for?
* bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
* minimum of 3 years’ experience in raw material purchasing or procurement roles, preferably within the manufacturing industry.
* strong knowledge of procurement processes, mrp, and inventory management.
* proficiency in sap erp systems and advanced excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
* advanced english proficiency is essential for effective communication with international suppliers.
