Job summary:

this role is responsible for managing import and export logistics operations. Key duties include coordinating shipments, handling customs clearance, tracking shipment schedules, and processing payments.

key responsibilities:
\

1. manage and coordinate the broker to accomplish the import/export process and process payments.
\
2. arrange or track shipment schedules and vessel information; monitor in-transit status and handle shipping exceptions.
\
3. prepare import/export customs clearance documents, coordinate and track customs clearance status, resolve issues during clearance. Apply for customs tax payments and follow up on payment progress with the finance department.
\
4. conduct regular inspections of import/export logistics brokers, check protective measures at port yards and agents' on-site operations, and ensure the safety of imported raw materials and products.
\
5. coordinate and manage the logistics workflow to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods.
\
6. collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective logistics strategies.
\
7. monitor and analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-saving initiatives.
\
8. ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and laws related to import and export logistics.
\
9. develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth logistics operations.
\
10. identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance logistics efficiency.
\
11. provide support and guidance to team members as needed to ensure successful completion of logistics tasks.

12. stay up-to-date with industry developments and trends to remain competitive and adapt to changing market conditions.

13. ensure accurate and timely communication with internal stakeholders regarding logistics activities.

14. maintain a high level of professionalism and discretion when interacting with external partners and stakeholders.

required skills and qualifications:

19. professional degree in supply chain management, logistics, international trade, business administration, or a related field.
\
20. minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in import/export logistics and customs coordination, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
\
21. in-depth knowledge of international shipping procedures (air and sea), customs regulations, and documentation requirements.
\
22. proficiency with erp systems (e.g., sap, oracle) and microsoft office suite, particularly excel for data analysis.
\
23. strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and creatively.
\
24. excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
\
25. fluency in english and spanish.
