We are supporting a global manufacturing organization in the search for a plant controller jr to contribute to the financial operation of one of its key sites in mexico.
this role is designed for a hands-on finance specialist who thrives in plant environments, working closely with operations to ensure financial accuracy, cost control, and strong business decision-making.
the position offers high visibility within the organization and direct impact on operational performance, profitability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
key responsibilities:
* own and execute plant financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
* lead month-end close activities, including variance analysis and cost performance tracking
* monitor and control manufacturing costs, including standard cost, boms, and cost centers
* partner with operations to analyze productivity, efficiency, and cost-saving opportunities
* develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial projections for the plant
* ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate and statutory requirements
* support audits (internal and external) and ensure readiness of financial data
* provide financial insights and recommendations to plant leadership for decision-making
required qualifications:
* bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
* 5+ years of experience in controlling/finance within manufacturing environments.
* strong experience in plant finance, cost accounting, and operational analysis.
* proven experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
* advanced english proficiency (written and verbal) required.
* strong knowledge of erp systems (sap preferred).
* advanced excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
* experience in automotive or industrial manufacturing.
job offer:
* monthly salary: mxn 55,000 – 65,000 (gross), depending on experience and qualifications.
