This 182-room sanctuary spans 60 acres and features an array of eco-luxe accommodations, including lagoon-view rooms, spa suites, and beachfront villas, complete with private hosts. Dedicated to sustainability, well-being, and offering awe-inspiring experiences, alila mayakoba blends luxury with a deep respect for its natural surroundings. Opening in february 2026, the resort seeks to provide an unparalleled retreat enriched by the vibrant character of the region.

role description
the director of sales is a full-time, on-site role based in cancún, roo. This role involves developing and executing strategic sales plans to drive revenue and achieve business goals, overseeing the sales team, and identifying new opportunities to expand market share. The director will cultivate strong relationships with clients, manage key accounts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet organizational objectives. Ensuring the delivery of exceptional guest experiences in alignment with the resort's luxury and sustainability values is a key responsibility of this role. This role reporta to rhe director of sales and marketing.

qualifications
proven expertise in luxury sales strategy and business development, with the ability to achieve revenue targets and implement growth initiatives.
strong skills in client relationship management, account management, and developing key client partnerships.
exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills to lead and inspire a high-performing sales team.
extensive experience in luxury hospitality, preferably in resort or hotel sales, with an understanding of market trends and customer preferences.
proficiency in creating and executing data-driven sales reporting and analytics to inform strategic decisions.
proven problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
fluency in english; spanish proficiency is highly preferred.
bachelor's degree in business, hospitality management, or a related field is required; a master's degree is a plus.
