the super premium group brand manager position is pivotal and one of the most exciting ones in the brown-forman marketing organization, since it establishes the strategic thinking behind one of our core portfolio pillars.
besides building world-class brands like woodford reserve, jack daniel’s single barrel, glenfiddich, or hendrick’s gin, among many others, this position will also manage and coach a team of highly talented marketers and develop relationships with various internal and external key stakeholders.
the group brand manager represents the beating heart of our marketing team, setting the tone when deploying our brand plans and their activities throughout the year.
*meaningful work from day one*:
leads a team of brand managers to accelerate growth in alignment with local and global brand strategies. This role collaborates with key stakeholders to develop robust portfolio and brand plans, ensuring excellent execution to drive strategic growth for a key company pillar.
*what you can expect*:
- leads the development and execution of the long-range strategic plan for a key brand portfolio, owning the p&l and guiding a team of brand managers to deliver sustainable growth and business ambitions.
- acts as a primary brand champion, influencing key stakeholders across local, regional, and global teams to align on brand strategies, localization efforts, and commercial objectives.
- directs the end-to-end launch of new products and packaging initiatives, and oversees the implementation of all brand and channel activations in collaboration with customer marketing and partner agencies.
- governs the development of robust brand communication platforms and consumer experiences, ensuring cultural relevance while championing a "test and learn" mindset to innovate and share best practices.
- translates market data, consumer research, and business analytics into actionable insights to drive brand strategy, inform forecasting, and foster a continuous cycle of performance analysis.
- manages the portfolio's budget and resource allocation to maximize return on investment, and collaborates with finance and sales teams to develop and implement long-term pricing and commercial strategies.
*what you bring to the table*:
- minimum 7 years of progressive experience in brand management, with at least 4 years in a senior or portfolio leadership role.
- proven experience developing annual brand plans, managing a p&l, and executing commercial and pricing strategies to drive growth, preferably in the beverage or consumer goods industry.
- demonstrated commitment to leading and developing others with experience leading two or more direct reports.
- strong analytical skills with experience translating complex market and consumer data into actionable business insights.
- full professional fluency in both written and spoken english.
