We are seeking a highly skilled leader to join our team as an area manager jr. This role involves leading and developing a team of amazon associates in a distribution warehouse environment.
job description
* lead, manage, and develop a team of 20 to 50 amazon associates.
* communicate policies to associates and act as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance, consistency, and taking corrective action when needed.
* create, manage, and support recognition and communication programs.
* support all safety programs and osha compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates.
* ensure procedures are followed for building security and product loss prevention.
* partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards.
* develop performance goals and objectives to achieve customer demand and ensure accuracy and quality.
requirements
* high school or equivalent.
* 2+ years of professional experience.
* ability to lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
* work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.
* be 18 years of age or older.
preferred qualifications
* degree in engineering, operations or related field.
* experience with end-to-end project management.
* english intermediate communication skills.
* 1+ years management experience in a manufacturing, production or distribution environment.
* management of a minimum of 40 employees (including payroll, performance management, work-flow assignment).
