position summary
the proposal management i works with the sales team to create and coordinate the development and production of compelling customer proposals. The proposal management ii plans and schedules proposal response efforts for small, medium, and large engagements of medium complexity. The proposal management i participates as a member of the sales/solution team ensuring that a pursuit plan, win theme, and solutions are developed, and that a complete offer is submitted on time and in compliance with both compucom and customer requirements.
* participates in pre-sales activities, including customer research, deal qualification, collaboration with business units, and interviews with the sales organization.
* develops a thorough understanding of the company's offerings and organizational structure supporting development, solutioning, and transaction processes.
* stays informed of new internal services and offerings and consults with prospective internal customers.
* supports initiatives in tooling, proposal automation, sales messaging, and collateral development.
* deconstructs bid documents to segment requirements, data points, and underlying business challenges to support solution development and win-theme planning.
* develops pursuit strategies with the sales/solution team, determining timelines, resources, and schedules for proposals, managing team members and subcontractors.
* leads bid processes, demonstrating leadership in forming and managing diverse groups to meet objectives within challenging timescales.
* works with the team to identify win themes and position proposals for competitiveness and compliance.
* ensures accuracy and timeliness of opportunity data in systems.
* facilitates creation of client presentation materials and participates in oral presentations.
* develops and updates content for new and existing service offerings.
* maintains communication with leadership stakeholders regarding plans and decisions.
* organizes and leads teams to meet objectives, managing actions through to completion.
requirements
* education: degree in computer science, it, media, business studies, or marketing.
* experience: 1-3 years in related fields, with knowledge of bidding processes, content management, and industry applications.
* certifications: apmp foundation certificate or practitioner preferred.
* language: english; french a plus.
* technical skills: proficiency in microsoft office, adobe acrobat, sharepoint, and familiarity with itil, service management, and bid response tools.
* personal attributes: collaborative, extroverted, detail-oriented, adaptable, and current on technology trends.
