This position is responsible for managing all financial reporting activities for the plant, including, monthly/quarterly/annual results, cost estimates, forecasting, and profit planning for the plant. This position currently manages direct reports that coordinates finance accountants. This group is responsible for accounts payable, receivable, general accounting and tax. Finance manager is responsible of ensure internal controls across the business and the accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations.
*qualifications and responsibilities*
- bachelor´s degree in finance and professional accounting qualification preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in multi-national companies
- a solid understanding and experience of ifrs.
- strong personality (will be on his own in mx plant), someone that can work independently with general guidance.
- coordinate and prepare internal financial statements.
- manage the activities of internal and external auditors
- provide analysis of production costs and profitability.
- proficiency with sap-erp software including the following modules: product costing, material ledger, materials management, inventory management, production planning, and integrated manufacturing
- understand and manage product costing, experience running kmat in sap hanna
- coordinate with it to implement a standard cost system and new reporting structure.
- prepare and present financial forecasts, annual budgets and strategic plans. Applies a high degree of independent thinking and decision making.
- experience in consolidation systems
- provides business counsel and financial leadership to plant management and leadership teams across all production areas. Provides insightful, accurate analyses in support of short
- and long-term strategic decisions.
- works with local teams and engineering to develop annual capital budgets. Reviews and approves capital appropriation requests (car) including cost-benefit analysis in support of investments. Ensures effective use of financial resources in adherence to related policies and procedures. Monitors and reports on monthly capital expenditure, timely closure of capital projects and proper classification of resulting fixed assets.
