npi engineer – temporary contract
responsibilities
* maintain updated information needed to assemble compressor & vsd panels.
* ensure adherence to pdp requirements; introduce new products and guarantee proper implementation of engineering changes at the monterrey compressor plant.
* lead npi implementations on plant and coordinate the team, providing direction.
* introduce new products and continuously improve products.
* generate cost‑reduction ideas (va/ve) and develop actions to achieve savings goals.
* maintain latest revision level of information for building compressors and vsds, communicating with engineering design centers.
* manage and provide direction on major engineering projects (savings, npi, improvement).
* provide technical support to productive areas and facilitate comprehension of all available information for building compressors.
* prepare, check, and coordinate release of documentation to support compressor assembly processes.
* provide feedback to design engineering to improve compressor designs.
* maintain routines to ensure boms reflect what is used in lines vs sap.
* participate actively on plant initiatives (gmoc, lpa, safety subcommittees, etc.).
* analyze possible component substitutions to approve deviations.
* participate in risk assessments and ehs suggestion/observation programs.
requirements
* bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
* minimum five years of progressive experience in manufacturing or hvac industry, manufacturing processes, and project administration.
* demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to influence without authority.
* ability to work under constrained time scales and demanding workloads.
* english proficiency.
