job summary
warehouse manager in guadalajara, north. Reporting to the director, operations, responsible for implementing a successful operation by managing all distribution and warehouse functions, providing materials, equipment and supplies, directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services, and supervising staff.
responsibilities
* maintain receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
* comply with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
* safeguard warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
* control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with the data storage system.
* maintain the physical condition of the warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
* achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions.
* monitor volume of business and define appropriate work schedules.
* set productivity goals and establish necessary controls to ensure objectives are met.
* monitor the condition and maintenance of operating and material handling equipment.
* constantly monitor the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error‑free culture.
* review loading and unloading schedules to maximize efficiencies and reduce expenses.
* coordinate floor cycle counts, physical inventory, and reconcile records.
qualifications
* ba/bs or equivalent work experience.
* experience in materials management, manufacturing requirements planning (mrp) systems, or a related field.
* intermediate english proficiency.
* strong capability to prioritize tasks and make critical decisions under pressure.
* experience in warehouse planning and inventory control.
* ability to manage material receiving processes and prioritize outbound flows to avoid production line stoppages.
* implement robust measurement systems for operational performance.
* advanced excel (pivot tables, data analysis, reporting).
* experience managing virtual locations (transit locations) and controlling transactions.
* knowledge of internal warehouse controls, including skid master management by part number and dos whs follow‑up.
* experience leading book‑to‑physical reconciliation processes, including two annual reconciliation events.
* experience implementing and sustaining an internal cycle count program using hml classification.
