This position requires to work within broad policies and corporate objectives.
Work is multi-faceted and complex requiring coordination and integration.
Position is responsible for creation of procedures, reports, guidelines, and needed documentation to meet quality management system of the manufacturing process.
This role is also in charge of the management of the measurement equipment.
Quality Engineer also provides technical information and defines critical characteristics for projects.
Position remains accountable for providing follow up during fabrication process and maintains customer communication.
Position owns quality process documentation and is responsible to ensure all the products manufactured at the Mechanical Fabrication shop meets quality requirements.
**YOU MUST HAVE**
· Bachelor’s degree in mechanical Engineer or Engineering field.
· 5 years of experience in quality engineer, quality assurance, or related role.
· Demonstrated ability on GD&T; and Engineering blueprint reading, understanding and interpretation (GD&T; Certified preferred).
· 3+ year experience on CAM, CAD and PLM software (MasterCAM, NX and Teamcenter preferred)
· Experience on welding and heat treatment specifications.
· Proficiency use of measurement equipment.
· Demonstrated ability on problem solving, project management, communication skills, team player, and change agent.
· Ability to work well with others, handle stress, produce quality work under pressure situations
· Exceptional communication skills in English/Spanish (oral and writing)
· Six Sigma (Green Belt preferred)
· MS Office proficiency.
