job summary:
* ensure safety practices are followed and are communicated as top priority
* ensure quality finished goods are manufactured, tested and packaged – protect the customer from defects
* monitor manufacturing execution of released production processes
* supervise inspections for in-process and finished goods based on defined control plans and critical characteristics
* manage additional manufacturing process inspections and controls according to process containment, customer safe launch, or production restart requirements
* document first time quality (ftq) results
* ensure completion of layered audit process.
* support change management process and ecr/eco implementation.
* comply with industry requirements – apqp, iso/ts-16949, iso-14001
principal responsibilities:
* administration of qc inspectors & qc auditors in their daily activities,
* communicate all quality alerts to inspectors and implement additional inspections or containment as required.
* daily review of quality checklist to ensure the manufacturing system is ready to produce good parts
* daily review of ftq and scrap performance of each manufacturing process
* ensure effective control of rejected material to prevent any rejected material from reaching the customer
* ensure effective control of partial containers of finished goods to prevent contamination, damage or mixing with similar products
* report quality concerns to the quality engineer for corrective action and problem support
* report purchased material quality concerns to the supplier quality engineer for corrective action and problem support
* validate and approve manufacturing operating instructions (moi)
* perform layered audits at required frequency
* verify implementation of preventive & corrective actions
* create statistical graphical data to analyze production issues
education:
bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent years in experience
experience:
2 to 5 years of experience in quality area
knowledge:
* knowledge and experience with iatf 16949.
