you will be responsible for
* provides support to principal technicians or engineers in matters related to the discipline.
* follows standardized procedures to perform tasks, when applicable.
* maintains the work area clean and organized.
* initiates, adjusts, and operates basic laboratory and manufacturing equipment.
* has completed the environmental and safety training appropriate for the discipline.
* writes technical reports describing operative characteristics of the system/tests, and deviations from specifications.
* solves problems related to systems, components and electrical equipment, testing, or installation.
* performs basic operational diagnostic tests, isolates failures, and documents changes.
* ensures tools and testing equipment are properly calibrated and repaired per procedures.
* supports equipment and fixtures quotation processes for purchasing preparation.
* supports installation and validation processes of equipment in the assigned area.
* supports spc process statistical control processes where applicable.
* supports and/or generates engineering changes or ecos.
* develops equipment introduction processes to clean room following established procedures (e.g., mal, pm, calibrations).
* records daily tasks in the designated system (ecmms or equivalent).
* communicates business-related issues or opportunities to management.
* ensures subordinates follow health, safety and environmental guidelines and that resources are available and in good condition.
* ensures compliance with all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
* performs other duties as needed.
qualifications / requirements
experience and education
* 6 to 8 years of experience in a related position.
* high school, technical degree, or equivalent.
* preferably trained in electronics, mechanics, production, electro-mechanics, testing, quality and production and process statistical control, bio-medics or industrial.
* desirable experience in the medical products industry.
* desirable 60% english.
required knowledge, skills, abilities, certifications/licenses
* ability to read and understand technical documentation for the discipline.
* gmps/iso knowledge, preferably.
* knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration procedures and quality systems, preferably.
* ability to use computers and related software.
* ability to use measuring and testing equipment related to the discipline.
* knowledge of campus information systems, preferably.
* ability to complete departmental/corporate training courses in manufacturing techniques.
* ability to use internal documentation change system (cpdm).
