el contador de costos es responsable de ejecutar y supervisar los procesos relacionados con el costeo, la valuación de inventarios, la integridad de los datos maestros, el análisis de variaciones y la validación de los consumos operativos del hotel.

the cost accountant is responsible for executing and overseeing processes related to costing, inventory valuation, master data integrity, variance analysis, and the validation of the hotel's operational consumption.
their management must ensure strict compliance with the guidelines established by usali, corporate internal control policies, current tax regulations, and applicable audit criteria.
additionally, they must generate accurate, reliable, and timely financial information that contributes to optimizing the cost of sales and promotes continuous improvement in the hotel's profitability.
responsabilidades
* ejecutar el cálculo del food cost, beverage cost, non-food cost, costo por punto de venta y costo consolidado mensual, conforme a usali.
* validar el recipe costing, menu engineering, fichas técnicas y rendimiento de productos en coordinación con el chef ejecutivo.
* supervisar la ejecución técnica de los conteos físicos mensuales, cíclicos y extraordinarios en todos los almacenes y puntos de venta.
* auditar la integridad de los inventarios mediante: revisión de diferencias físicas versus sistema, análisis de rotación y obsolescencia y trazabilidad de movimientos y auditoría de lotes.
* validar la correcta parametrización del master de artículos, incluyendo unidad de medida, factor de conversión, cuenta contable, categoría usali y costo estándar.
* auditar diariamente los movimientos de almacén, tales como: grn / recepciones, transferencias entre cocinas y bares, ajustes físicos y mermas y requisiciones automáticas (auto-replenishment).
* ejecutar el cost roll-up mensual del módulo de inventarios.
* integrar los reportes de costos por departamento para el p&l, conforme a usali.
* garantizar la integridad del audit trail del sistema de inventarios.
* evaluar constantemente la eficacia de los controles internos y proponer mejoras para optimizar procesos y resultados.
responsibilities
* execute the calculation of food cost, beverage cost, non-food cost, cost per point of sale, and consolidated monthly cost in accordance with usali.
* validate recipe costing, menu engineering, technical sheets, and product yields in coordination with the executive chef.
* supervise the technical execution of monthly, cyclical, and extraordinary physical counts in all warehouses and points of sale.
* audit inventory integrity through: review of physical vs. system discrepancies, analysis of turnover and obsolescence, and traceability of movements and batch audits.
* validate the correct configuration of the item master, including unit of measure, conversion factor, accounting account, usali category, and standard cost.
* conduct daily audits of warehouse movements, including grn/receipts, transfers between kitchens and bars, physical adjustments and wastage, and automatic requisitions (auto-replenishment).
* execute the monthly cost roll-up in the inventory module.
* consolidate departmental cost reports for the p&l in accordance with usali.
* ensure the integrity of the audit trail in the inventory system.
* continuously evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls and propose improvements to optimize processes and results.
perfil del candidato
* licenciatura en contaduría, finanzas o administración.
* experiencia mínima de 3 a 5 años en costos, preferentemente en hotelería de lujo.
* inglés intermedio-avanzado, suficiente para reportes corporativos y auditorías.
* dominio de usali 11 o 12.
* experiencia en sistemas de inventarios y compras, como birchstreet, y contabilidad con sun systems.
* excel avanzado, incluyendo tablas dinámicas, power query y macros básicas.
* conocimiento de normas fiscales aplicables a inventarios y deducibilidad (méxico: lisr, cff).
* conocimiento sólido de los procesos operativos de alimentos y bebidas (a&b).
* capacidad para interpretar metas de gop, cost of sales y kpis de f&b.
qualifications
* bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
* minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in luxury hospitality.
* intermediate to advanced english, sufficient for corporate reporting and audits.
* proficient in usali 11 or 12.
* experience with inventory and purchasing systems such as birchstreet, and accounting systems like sunsystems.
* advanced excel skills, including pivot tables, power query, and basic macros.
* knowledge of tax regulations applicable to inventories and deductibility (mexico: lisr, cff).
* solid understanding of food & beverage (f&b) operational processes.
* ability to interpret gop targets, cost of sales, and f&b kpis.
