the data integration sr manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities that support the execution, enablement, and adoption of the data transformation plan and/or support of use cases through collaboration with functions, regions, and lines of business. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required to guide, influence, and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project.
responsibilities:
1. lead a team of people. Oversees management of people, budget, and planning, including duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary action/terminations, and may include budget approval.
2. manage relationships with key stakeholders across the organization, including the day-to-day execution activities and meetings.
3. be aware of the project status, and coach project leads on approaches to address and escalate potential risks and issues.
4. collect information from the team for content development and execution to support presentations for governance forums.
5. oversee day-to-day activities related to the overall program/project, and associated dependencies.
6. support resolution of project issues and/or offer solutions to resolve complex problems, with the ability to interpret policies, guidelines, or processes.
7. liaise with multiple data teams/departments, and serve as subject matter expert for planning and analysis of project deliverables and processes.
8. guide work streams focusing on data initiatives including data requirements, issues management, data quality rules, lineage, data governance, and taxonomy.
9. guide development of business requirements, process mapping of current and future state processes.
10. support implementation of strategic design and process improvement projects across lines of business and functions, working with technology and operations and other support organizations.
qualifications:
* 6-10 years relevant experience in banking or finance preferred.
* effective communication skills, able to develop and deliver multi-mode communications tailored to different audiences; capable of driving consensus and influencing relationships at all levels.
* effective collaboration skills, building partnerships and working well with others to meet shared objectives.
* strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills across various stakeholders.
* ability to work under pressure and facilitate discussions.
* understanding of how own area and others contribute to business objectives.
* familiarity with data concepts.
education:
* bachelor's/university degree or equivalent; master's degree preferred.
* experience in designing strategic projects and establishing operational controls.
* knowledge of systems to define technical requirements from a customer and operational perspective.
* experience managing pii data and creating user stories and technical requests.
* knowledge of api, waterfall, and agile methodologies.
* experience proposing operational and strategic projects impacting customers.
* experience proposing strategic/action plans for risks.
* knowledge in database administration.
