job description
the process & maintenance engineer ecu (te/be) is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the electronic control unit (ecu) production processes. This critical role involves leading a team of local technicians and ensuring the efficient implementation of high technology and highly automated assembly systems for automotive safety electronics units.
key responsibilities include:
* provide strategic leadership to a team of local technicians, ensuring optimal support for ecu production operations.
* oversee the implementation and integration of highly automated technologies for the assembly of electronics control units, guaranteeing seamless incorporation into existing production lines.
* develop and refine specialized software, programs and mechatronics devices essential for the successful launch of new products, with a focus on meeting stringent customer quality requirements, minimizing costs, and maximizing manufacturability.
* establish and maintain rigorous process specifications to ensure consistent product quality and operational efficiency.
* implement continuous performance improvement initiatives and cost reduction strategies within the area of responsibility, driving operational excellence and maintaining competitiveness.
* collaborate with cross-functional and cross-sites teams to address complex technical challenges and implement innovative solutions in ecu assembly semiautomated and automated systems relative to ecu production processes.
* ensure strict adherence to automotive industry standards and quality control measures throughout all stages of production in area of responsibility.
