role overview:
*responsibilities*:
- perform meticulous data entry tasks, including uploading client invoices and reconciling bank statements on a daily basis.
- ensure accuracy and timeliness in recording financial transactions to maintain up-to-date records.
- offer comprehensive support to the accounting department by assisting with various accounting tasks and clerical duties.
- take charge of compiling crucial data for foreign returns on a monthly basis.
- utilize designated computer software to generate comprehensive reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy in financial documentation.
- conduct thorough investigations to identify and resolve discrepancies in financial data promptly.
- implement effective solutions and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders to maintain data integrity and compliance with accounting standards.
- contribute actively to ad hoc projects initiated by the accounting department, providing valuable support and insights.
- deliver timely updates on project progress and assist in implementing necessary actions to achieve project objectives.
*requirements*:
- master's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is a must.
- previous proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, handling the full accounting cycle, is a must.
- familiarity with accounting software and tools.
- proficiency in microsoft excel and other relevant accounting software.
- strong data entry skills and attention to detail
- ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
- excellent organizational skills to handle and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- strong written and verbal communication skills.
- able to work 9:00 am - 6:00 pm est (new york time).
