Job responsibilities

this role will be responsible for full project installation activities including staffing and planning of daily and weekly workload to meet project milestones for less complex and/or smaller projects. It manages assigned superintendents, foremen, and crews.

the position covers all mechanical, electrical, and mechatronics pre‑commissioning projects and reports on progress, safety, and other required metrics daily, weekly, and monthly. Responsibilities also include scheduling subcontractors, tracking equipment inventory and rentals, and undertaking the full lifecycle of installation projects from pre‑quoting through site visits.


key duties

* assist with equipment trial runs and ensure installations meet dematic standards.
* provide training and technical support to subcontractors on material handling equipment.
* identify installation issues and propose effective solutions.
* prepare project quotes, including pricing reviews, scope of work, schedules, and equipment lists.
* select and coordinate subcontractors in conjunction with purchasing.
* attend weekly project review meetings and track financials.
* conduct site visits to support commissioning and enforce safety and quality standards.
* complete equipment run‑ins and report readiness for commissioning via formal documentation.
* manage ordering of consumables, supplies, rentals, and other resources for project execution.
* participate in post‑project reviews to recommend design or process improvements.


qualifications

* engineering business degree with more than 8 years of experience.
* minimum 5 years of experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
* proven working experience with material handling equipment.
* service experience with agvs, as/rs, or conveyors is highly valued.
* willingness to travel on short notice, up to 50% of the time.
* ability to be on call and travel as required.
* flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts.
* ability to write clear, concise, and complete trip reports according to dematic procedures.
* proficient in personal computer word processing, databases, and communications.
* understanding of personal computer hardware setup and software configuration.
