are you driven by quality and precision in manufacturing? At gkn automotive, we're looking for an quality engineer - incoming inspection who will ensure that materials, products, and components entering from a gkn plants meet established quality standards. This includes performing physical and functional inspections, documenting results, managing nonconformities, monitoring compliance with standards, and collaborating with other departments. In this role, you will:
receiving inspection: perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of materials and products received from suppliers.
documentation: record inspection results in detail, including data, measurements, and quarantine area administration.
nonconformity management: identify, document, and manage products or materials that do not meet quality standards, including coordinating corrective actions.
compliance verification: ensure that received materials comply with technical specifications, quality standards, and applicable regulations.
collaboration: work with other departments, such as purchasing, production, and warehouse, to ensure proper receipt and entry of materials.
preferred qualifications
* experience in the automotive or advanced manufacturing industry.
* ppap evaluation and approval.
* familiarity with statistical tools or specialized quality software.
* track record of leading improvement and transformation initiatives.
required qualifications
* bachelor’s degree in industrial, mechanical, manufacturing engineering or equivalent.
* 2 to 5 years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.
* proficiency in pfmea, control plan, ppaps qms, and end-of-line testing protocols.
* solid knowledge of regulatory compliance and process documentation.
