*key responsibilities*:
- *general ledger management*:
- oversee and manage the general ledger accounts, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded in compliance with accounting principles and internal policies.
- perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- maintain and update internal controls and procedures related to the general ledger.
- *tax compliance & reporting*:
- prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns (e.g., vat, sales tax, corporate tax) in compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations.
- support tax audits and assist with the gathering and preparation of relevant documentation.
- stay updated on current tax laws and regulations to ensure the company’s tax compliance.
- collaborate with internal stakeholders to manage tax positions and strategies, ensuring tax-efficient business operations.
- *communication with tax authorities*:
- serve as the primary point of contact for tax authorities, responding to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- address any tax-related issues or disputes that arise, working with external advisors or legal counsel as necessary.
- manage and track tax filings, deadlines, and correspondence to ensure compliance with all tax obligations.
- *financial reporting & analysis*:
- assist with preparing financial reports, including tax-related disclosures, for management and external stakeholders.
- support audit activities by providing necessary documentation and explanations for tax-related items.
- collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate and efficient reporting of tax provisions and related entries.
- *process improvement*:
- identify opportunities to improve tax processes, accounting procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and reduce risks.
- recommend improvements to streamline general ledger and tax filing processes.
*required qualifications*:
- bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting and tax compliance, preferably in a corporate environment.
- strong understanding of tax regulations, corporate taxation, and general ledger accounting principles.
- proficiency in accounting software (e.g., sap, oracle, quickbooks) and microsoft excel.
- excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- ability to communicate complex tax concepts clearly and effectively with both internal stakeholders and tax authorities.
- strong interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work with tax authorities and external advisors.
- ability to handle multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
*preferred qualifications*:
- cpa, ea, or other relevant certifications a plus.
- experience with international tax regulations and cross-border tax matters.
Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per month
