selects, trains, develops, motivates, and provides supervision to contract guards. Ensures and oversees the appropriate response to all emergency and crisis situations. Conducts investigations into thefts, pilferage, acts of vandalism, misconduct, and other activities detrimental to the company, its employees, and its customers.
Reviews
country, station, ramp, hub, and office security practices and develops corrective action plans to ensure corporate and local compliance. Monitors, analyzes, and recommends ways to improve service, practices, reduce costs, and package losses. Provides training to fedex personnel in such areas as loss prevention, security awareness, proper packaging, and handling for various commodities. Develops and maintains a cooperative business relationship with local law enforcement agencies. Identifies loss cargo claim trends to operations management; identifies top customers that are filling repetitive loss claims; and follows up accordingly. Provides matrix support to various levels of management and provides for the protection of sr. Management as specified in the executive protection program. Implements and monitors sales security programs by developing incremental revenue opportunities and ensuring proper customer shipping practices. Assists sales in identifying customers that require improved packaging methods.
Bachelor’s degree/equivalent. Six years law enforcement/airline security or related professional experience. Knowledge of country security laws, regulations, and requirements. Good investigative, analytical, and communication skills. Must be able to speak, write, and read english. Travel required. Maestro certification required.
