product engineer to joinour present product engineering team.
this role will focus onderivative new product introductions (npi), value analysis/valueengineering (va/ve), and roadmap projects across our gas applianceportfolio.
the successful candidate will be an expert user—orcapable of becoming one—in creo and windchill, with a strong focuson design for manufacturability and hands-on testing.
jobresponsibilities: - develop and modify 3d models and 2d drawingsusing creo as an expert user.
- utilize windchill for productlifecycle management at an expert level.
- execute and supportderivative npi projects and va/ve initiatives.
- perform hands-ontesting of gas appliance components in our laboratory environment.- conduct data analysis using minitab for doe (design ofexperiments) and process optimization.
- apply and interpretintermediate-level geometric dimensioning & tolerancing(gd&t).
- learn and apply csa and ul standards relevant to gasappliances.
- author detailed, clear, and technically accurate labreports for internal and external stakeholders.
- create andmaintain engineering standards to support product consistency anddesign best practices.
- collaborate closely with manufacturing andquality teams to ensure product designs are optimized formanufacturability and cost-efficiency.
qualifications: - 4–10 yearsof experience in product engineering, product development, or arelated discipline.
- knowledge in multiple manufacturing processesand problem-solving skills.
- preferable with experience asprocess, manufacturing, or quality engineering.
- knowledge indrawing interpretation and familiar with some manufacturing orproduct standards.
- expertise or ability to become an expert increo and windchill.
- hands-on mindset, comfortable working in laband test environments.
- proficient in minitab or willing to learnfor statistical analysis and doe.
- intermediate understanding ofgd&t (or ability to learn).
- knowledge of csa and ul standardsfor gas appliances (or ability to learn).
- demonstrated ability towrite detailed technical documentation and lab reports.
- strongwritten and spoken fluency in english.
education: - bachelor'sdegree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.
-master's degree or six sigma black belt certification is aplus.
