Participate in new product development (npd) to ensure all customer requirements are met and the manufacturing process is robust. Oversee npd builds to ensure process controls are in place and effective. Lead and/or participate in supplier audits and qualification process. Analyze results and recommend solutions to complex product and process quality problems. Work with engineering and manufacturing staff, equipment manufacturers and vendors to develop solutions and implement preventative measures to address product and process quality problems. Develop testing methodologies and equipment including precision computerized measuring devices and statistical control techniques. Qualifications minimum qualifications bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or related field. 7 years as quality engineer. Skilled in project management, six sigma, total quality management (tqm). Experienced with incoming inspection and supplier interaction. Strong statistical knowledge, process validation, process capability studies, risk assessment. Excellent problem-solving skills. Self-sufficient and thrive in a team environment. Ability to influence and lead others, a change agent. Strong interpersonal and negotiating skills. Bilingual english/spanish with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of pareto analysis techniques, gage r&r, fai, ppap, control plans and fmea. Skilled in the use of word-processing, spreadsheet, and database computer programs.
