the opportunity:
to partner with our mexico team (offices in mexico city & monterrey) we are seeking a qualified, high-energy, and proactive professional to join our research team in santa fe, mexico city.
The senior business analyst is responsible for providing targeted insight in the talent market, guidance and project management support as a crucial member of the client engagement team. In conjunction with internal stakeholders, senior business analysts operate as part of a team that delivers powerful, effective solutions to our clients. They are expected to be accountable for execution of the executive search and/or the leadership advisory projects they lead within a fast-paced, clients-first environment.
This person serves as the lead expert for multiple client projects, owning and proactively driving the timeline, finding solutions and ensuring high quality deliverables. They are expected to develop depth of knowledge in an area of interest (generally an industry or a function), providing strategic guidance and quality insights on important trends and topics to support client needs.
Key responsibilities:
assignment research & project management
manage client projects (such as assignments, pitch preparation, etc.) in partnership with consultants and eas
recommend approach and priority target company universe through market research
recognize patterns to offer proactive solutions that mitigate risk
identify, calibrate and prioritize potential candidates through internal firm network, external resources and market outreach
engage with the external market, as appropriate, to develop market and candidate insights
manage the assignment team throughout the processes to drive strategy, solutions and supporting client materials
create high-quality client documentation (e.g., role specifications, progress reports, company mappings, etc.)
Proactively engage and leverage technology as an enabler
serve as thought partner on all aspects.
Business development support
partner with consultants to develop pitch presentations and business development materials
act as partner with internal teams to suggest and build targeted events
monitor and track relevant market developments in a segment, including company updates and people moves
knowledge management
contribute to the firm’s knowledge management activities by looking for opportunities to share expertise and best practices
develop a network of people within an industry or functional area to understand trends and bring insights
apply knowledge gained from past projects to better understand broader client needs and apply to future work
requirements:
egon zehnder is looking for a professional with exceptional communication, analytical, influencing, critical thinking and problem-solving skills - with the ability to understand the business environment, emerging trends and key developments among major players across industries and functions in the market.
They must be able to work successfully in a client-oriented professional services organization and have strong (internal and external) stakeholder management abilities. The new sba will interact regularly and closely with consultants, expert colleagues and eas, across geographic boundaries in the firm.
Qualifications
2 – 4 years of work experience (post-undergrad).
Previous project management experience or experience working on simultaneous projects in different teams.
Initiative to lead assignments with minimal guidance or supervision.
Self-starter mentality; good business judgment and solutions-orientation.
Advanced bilingual level of english and spanish.
Excellent command of office package.
Strong detail-orientation in a fast-paced, client-driven environment.
Interest in a wide variety of topics across industry, economy, and society.
