this position is pivotal and one of the most exciting in the brown-forman marketing organization, since it establishes the strategic thinking behind one of our core portfolio pillars; this position will also be managing and coaching a team of highly talented marketeers, as well as developing relationships with various internal and external key stakeholders. The group brand manager represents the beating heart of our marketing team, setting the tone when deploying our brand plans and their activities throughout the year.

This role oversees portfolio management, including the innovation pipeline and brand platforms. Leading a team of brand managers, you will collaborate with global teams and stakeholders to develop and execute robust brand strategies that build relevance and drive commercial excellence for key company pillars.

* brand advocacy and stakeholder management: acts as a primary brand champion, influencing local, regional, and global stakeholders to align on strategies, localization efforts, and commercial objectives.
* innovation and execution: directs end‐to‐end new product development (npd) launches and oversees the implementation of all brand and channel activations in partnership with agencies and customer marketing.
* consumer insights and analytics: translates market data and business analytics into actionable insights to drive brand strategy, inform forecasting, and foster a "test and learn" mindset for continuous improvement.
* team development: coaches and develops a high‐performance team of brand managers, fostering a strong culture of brand building and talent growth within the marketing organization.
* agency and communication management: governs the development of communication platforms and manages relationships with local partner agencies to ensure culturally relevant and engaging consumer experiences.
what you bring to the table:
* minimum 7 years of progressive experience in brand management, with at least 4 years in a senior or portfolio leadership role.
* proven experience developing annual brand plans, managing a p&l, and executing commercial and pricing strategies to drive growth, preferably in the beverage or consumer goods industry.
* demonstrated commitment to leading and developing others with experience leading two or more direct reports.
* strong analytical skills with experience translating complex market and consumer data into actionable business insights.
* full professional fluency in both written and spoken english.
