As the key member of the Education team, The Sales and Education Executive is responsible for the localization, implementation and administration of training content and activities that bring brand DNA, storytelling, and product passion to life in Mexico and the conceptualization and execution of client activation programs and services.
The Sales and Education Executive will be the point of contact for Sephora BAs, Store Managers, Brand BAs and Freelancers and will support them through various learning methods: digital learning, virtual and live trainings, point-of-sale coaching and client services. This person will report on Store needs, Cast Feedback, Measurements of Success and Sales. The Sales and Education Executive will support brand animations, Beauty Studios, pop ups and workshops/events at Sephora stores and outside the stores on a regular basis.
On key brand periods, the Sales and Education Executive will have to rotate across the main Sephora stores in Mexico to support the stores by leading by example with education, sales and by providing the best customer experience in store.
The person will help track the store and brand sales versus targets and will provide updates to the Brand Team through weekly and monthly touch base meetings.
The sales and Education Executive will work closely with the Brand and Marketing Manager to create Sales goals by Store and categories, to recruit the freelancers and build the most efficient staffing schedule and define the sales goals for each freelancer.
The successful person will be an influential person; savvy in social media, and comfortable to connect with Sephora Beauty Advisors across Mexico using digital and social platforms.
This person will embody the Kendo values and should have the skills to present credible Beauty information and to do make-up application in store, via classroom training, and in workshops and events when required.
This role will work closely with the Brand and Marketing Manager for Mexico and will maintain productive cross-functional relationships with both internal (Global Education, Brand and Marketing teams, LVMH teams) and external partners (Sephora and suppliers). We require a high level of creative and writing skills, with proven ability to delivery effective communication across different platforms.
The success of this role will be determined by: Brand Ranking, Store Retail Sales Achievement, Beauty Advisor/ Freelancers Productivity, Sephora Cast Member Contribution, Pre and Post Training Learning Lifts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Education Programming & Reporting
Collaborate with the Brand Manager to create and execute the annual Training plan, aligning with key business priorities to empower Beauty Advisors and Sephora Casts, driving growth in sales KPIs.
Prepare end of month reports for the senior management team, detailing all education initiatives, competitor highlights, and upcoming strategic plans.
Support local training initiatives.
Assist with the recruitment and skills check of the Freelancers.
Build and recommend best Freelancer programs tailored to the need of the business and in accordance with the budget.
Deliver In Store, In class and digital trainings that are credible and engaging.
Follow-up post training store manager meetings, to ensure training effectiveness and position to achieve business goals.
Support translation for tools and E Learning Modules
Communicate and deploy identified business opportunities.
Monitor and follow up expenses and ensure that they are respecting set budgets.
Field and Events Support
Book regular artistry days in key stores to support launches and hero products.
Replicate brand looks and act as a brand ambassador to demonstrate and sell in store for events.
Meet with store management monthly and report on Store needs, Cast Feedback, Measurements of Success and Sales.
Support brand events, workshops and masterclasses with customer care, demonstration and sales.
Host monthly in-store briefings to support new launches and Sephora BA awareness/skill.
Retail Sales
Participate in a weekly touch base with Kendo Team and report relevant feedback on stocks, VM, store needs and competitor information.
Drive and Track Retail sales on a weekly and monthly basis, updating the Retail Team on achievement to goal.
Manages sales activities and initiatives that support the business plans and revenue goals.
Meets with store managers and store leadership regularly to offer support and meet store retail needs. Drives store initiatives.
Ability to approach browsing customers, introduce our brands in an engaging way and share relevant product knowledge.
Demonstrate multiple products in a recipe or routine to create link selling opportunities. Provide fun make-over services for customers in store.
Ensure inventory management for the store and maintain the product gondola’s to the brand standards
Product Merchandising
Ensure proper implementation of in-store marketing animation plan and VM in accordance with the guidelines from Brand Owners
Requirements
Preferably 5 years of experience with a previous experience in Sales and Education in the cosmetics industry.
Passionate about skincare and beauty.
Autonomous, organized, results-oriented and with analytical sense.
Must have an English proficiency level of 80% to 90%.
Requires strong skills in MS Office, including basic functions in Excel and PowerPoint.
Team player with a positive attitude and curiosity to learn.
Motivated self-starter; able to be resourceful and work independently.
