Primary objective:the packaging and conveyance engineer will take an enterprising approach to the entire manufacturing process, from product conception through final assembly, focused on developing efficient packaging solutions tailored to automotive standards.
key responsibilities:
* develop and implement packaging solutions that meet or exceed requirements for automotive manufacturing facilities.
* design, test, and validate both expendable and returnable packaging, including trays, totes, pallets, and cartons.
* use the packaging design checklist to ensure compliance with standards such as esd and moisture protection.
* collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers to align packaging specifications with end-use expectations.
* participate in product design reviews to ensure packaging design alignment and make necessary adjustments.
* create and manage rfqs for packaging materials.
* work with manufacturing, purchasing, and quality departments to meet design objectives.
* support cost-saving initiatives and address quality concerns and product changes.
* provide 3d cad models and 2d drawings for packaging designs.
* submit packaging data into customer databases and develop packaging specifications and work instructions.
qualifications:
* bachelor’s degree in packaging, engineering, or a related field, or 5 years of relevant work experience.
* 3-5 years of experience in packaging or industrial/manufacturing engineering, with automotive packaging experience preferred.
* fluent in english, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* proficiency in microsoft office (95% required).
* experience with 2d and 3d cad software; siemens nx preferred.
* strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work proactively.
* demonstrated leadership skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
* excellent team collaboration and interpersonal skills.

* primarily on-site with a willingness to travel (~20%).
