Engineer ii, nogales automation & test
this role is within chamberlain group's nogales engineering group. A successful incumbent is expected to (i) develop sections of code described by the systems engineer., and (ii) create electrical designs and control described by the systems engineer for small to medium projects. Requires 3-6 years in engineering and/or test engineering and a minimum of a bachelor's degree.
* develop sections of code described by the systems engineer.
* create electrical designs and control described by the systems engineer for small to medium projects.
* design pcbs with cad while following engineering guidelines.
* create equipment documentation (such as electrical schematics, work instructions, boms, manuals) and release it through the ecn process.
* participate and supervise the construction of test fixtures and equipment.
* participate in the creation of the battery which tests for validation and validation of equipment.
* perform and interpret statistical analysis such as doe, gr&r, cpks, sdev, avg.
* guide diagnosis and repair of electro mechanic equipment and suggest improvements.
* attend service calls to troubleshoot and repair equipment while providing excellent customer service.
* perform process analysis; dfx, ast, pcola.
* contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results and participating on projects as needed.
* comply with health and safety guidelines and rules; managers should also ensure compliance across their teams.
education/certifications:
bachelor's degree
experience:
* 3-6 years in engineering and/or test engineering
knowledge, skills, and abilities:
* basic knowledge of statistical analysis.
* intermediate programming skills in any of these languages: cvi, visual basic, labview, ladder logic, python, java script, preferable c and c#.
* strong interpersonal skills, including written and oral communication and presentation.
* proficient with ms office tools (e.g. Office & sharepoint and ms project professional).
* ability to work cross-functionally and to learn and adapt to new business processes, technologies, and environments. Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
* intermediate knowledge on microprocessors, memory mapping, and plds.
* intermediate knowledge in rf tx/rx coding, am, fm, cw, attenuators, antennas, filters, mixers, and splitters.
* intermediate knowledge in analog circuitry, opams, filters, transistors, fets, mosfets, passive components, transformers.
* intermediate knowledge in computer cad systems for pcb, schematic, and mechanical drawing.
* intermediate experience using hand tools such us, screw drivers, wrenches, drill bits, and drill taper.
* intermediate knowledge in pneumatic gadgets.
