*about the role*
as a technical area engineer - packaging, you will be responsible for supporting and driving technology projects across our global packaging platforms. This includes implementing technological innovations, collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and helping to build the next generation of packaging solutions that enhance safety, efficiency, and sustainability.
*what you will do*
- participate in technology and innovation projects related to packaging lines.
- contribute to feasibility studies and development of technology requirement specifications.
- document technical risks and communicate their potential business impacts.
- support technical area managers (tams) in stage gate evaluations.
- provide input for capex documentation and project recommendations.
- support the implementation of essity excellence methodology (eem) tools.
- collaborate in the development of strategic packaging platforms including digital and process control technologies.
- analyze machine performance and propose safety and performance improvements.
- contribute to the evaluation of machine suppliers.
- support pre-development work on disruptive innovations in packaging.
*who you are*
- university degree in engineering, preferably mechanical, electrical, or related.
- experience in manufacturing operations and/or technology roles, preferably in both tissue and personal care categories.
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- results-driven, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.
- excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
